Dream interpretation awareness

I just wanted to make this topic to discuss dream interpretation, whilst also raising the awareness that religions have their own interpretation and symbolism, for example the serpent in Christianity refers to a negative aspect, while in Buddhism it symbolises healing and transformation, this differs across religions, so if you do your own online searches outside forum, be sure to always type your faith if you have one. Many times I have had a dream to discover the symbolism differs, being a non religious person I had to find what resonates with me based on my dream, how I felt, what emotions it brought me, and years of journaling etc.

For me I always find forums like this a good way to bring a more clarity on the dream, there are more elements that actually contribute to the meaning, others can share their perspectives to help us connect the pieces of the puzzle to our life, but remember these are their perspectives, and each person has their own beliefs, so always ensure to take things on board but with your own insights to your current situation.

I hope this helps, feel free to add anything else below.

Many times people have dreams with symbols from other religions and especially the ancient ones and mythology. In Jugnian thought, the Christ is not Jesus, but the symbol of the fully realized Self. For some, this is the God within. Yes, symbols can mean different things, and this is why it is good for the dreamer to react to what is being said. Some ideas of others will fit, other ideas will not. But, it's good to consider ideas that feel foreign at first. The dream comes to tell us what we don't know.

BTW: The snake in the Judeo/Christian tradition can also stand for healing. Moses raised the serpent up on a pole to heal those affected by snakebite.
