Dreams about animals

I often will dream about animals. Usually right before I wake up. Sometimes I'm helping them, but usually they're just there, and I'm trying to figure out why. Fortunately they're good, usually kind and pleasant. Sometimes I feel a love for them, other times they're simply intriguing. Often it's a dog, cat, kittens. They can be injured, and I feel sorry for them. It can even make me cry. The last time I was petting a horse. One time a monkey was looking at me. I once had a psychic tell me I worked in a zoo in a past life. They also said sometimes a past life can " overlap" if you will, into a current life. Maybe that's what happening here. Often while walking around my apartment complex dogs being walked will come up to me and want me to pet them. One time this dog stood up on his hind legs and put his paws on my chest. His owner was really surprised. "They never do that." (There were two)
Also had a dream of a Golden Retriever that was halfway across the room. All of a sudden it was next to me. It literally put its paws around me and hugged me, just like a person. Maybe they're thanking me for something from the past? Anyway, at least it's a good omen, better than a scary one.

Animals in dreams might be instincts. They represent parts of us that are closest to our true self. Dogs represent loyalty and goodness. Virtues you probably have yourself.
