I move through the city of white stone tree shade the white stone walkways, the sky so blue it looks to mock the sea, the air thickening with the humidity of the day as the sun beats pleasantly upon the city unaware of its effect on things.
As I stumble through the city I notice the daily lives, the smell of food stalls and the murmer of many voices along the path though none take my notice or interest me in any way as I pass by.
I enter a plaza, large and empty surrounded by trees keeping it seperate from the city.
Yet still apart of it...and there along the far wall is a large stern looking stone statue etched in stone, it's chest cracked open a piece missing over where it's heart should be.
There infront of me it is exposed is the beating stone heart, and it is then that I realize I to have an exposed heart...
I climb the statue and reach into its chest grabbing its warm thumping heart, ripping it out and relplacing it with my own. So that now its heart beats in me an mine in it.
I cover the wound where the heart now lay in me and walk...away leaving behind the city my hand placed over the hole in my chest were the heart beats warmly thumping away with each step forward onto the road ahead in the distance.
