I tried to have a lucid dream today and I ruined it

I was dreaming today, and in the dream I was in my old high-school after doing a mischief. The school guard said "Everyone can go home except one", and I took lucidity. So I walked faster amd friend to hide between the other students. It was dusk and my mother was waiting for me. In that, instead of running, I was jumping like austronaute in the moon. I reached the skatepark, and I said in high-pitch "Now, Yara and Nathan will appear" (context: Those were a girl and a boy I loved when I was a teen, and since some days ago, I had the plan that in lucid dreams I would have a birromantic triad date with them). And when I said it, nothing happened, and when I realized, I was awake. I cried when I realized.

you broke out of the plot your subconscious set up for you, and it just gave up on interacting with you for the night. it cant accomplish anything it likely expects of itself, like processing emotions, if you hijack it whenever it tries to.
