Might artworks stemming from dreams compete with AI TECH generated art content?

Lately, more and more AI generated art increasingly feels like the "same-old same-old" e.g., what is probably not art.

Can artworks stemming from dreams prove to be of greater value than AI-generated artwork?

Enlosed is a news-story which discusses how AI-TECH augments art creation - that is artworks based-on dreams.

Please explain how this can be a comparison (and hence your question). AI-generated art can be shown to others, whereas dream "art" in its raw form cannot. "Artworks stemming from dreams" must go through the highly limiting translation process of the artist before anyone else can see it, so has little effective difference from any other human-generated art. Of course human-generated art always has more value to humans, and until we make AI have it's own independent value-generation system (independent of human coding tricks, mind you), it will never be a valid comparison (only a side amusement to distract).

"Teach" an AI to effectively dream, and then yeah, you will have far more than another form of copy-monkey.

I don't quite follow your question.

Salvadore Dali is perhaps the best known example of an artist creating artworks based-on thr artist's dreams.

There are many artists who create artworks based-on dreams- quite a few of these artwork are not necessarily "dreamy" in nature.

The picture I posted for my 'DreamForum' page is an image I dreamed just before I woke-up.

Ah, so I guess you are talking more about the source of inspiration, and yes (I think) I agree with you that as a source of inspiration, dreams are far more versatile than AI-generated art; but this is just part of the definition of dreams, is it not? Fundamentally, dreams are like the very fount of creation--the spring from which we drink to evolve from clever animal to something much greater. It's reasonable to assume that a series of complex 1s and 0s will *never* be a match, no matter what the hype machine tells us.
