Big house, random visitors

I jotted this down at 2.22am last night as this was THE most bizarre dream I've ever had and I believe dreams are symbolic!
Would love your input on this as there was nothing in the dream that had anything remotely to do with anything I got up to or thought about yesterday in real life.

I was staying in a big modern house as there was a maintenance issue at my flat.
I heard a knock at the door and it was a charming muscly man, said he was a handy man who said I could call on if I needed help. He was aussie and flirtatious and asked me a few times if I wanted to go on a date. He left and then a very young, spritely yet pretentious woman knocked on the door next, I don't remember much of the exchange but at the end she noted how she wore high heels to hide her tiny height, she was blonde and giggled in a sinister way, she did a backflip and left. Once she'd left I was beginning to feel scared and threatened by the vibe in the house despite how modern it is, it was big and overwhelming and i felt watched and alone despite these visitors. The house had huge windows, very exposed and I had a sense of fear despite how spacious it was.
The handy man returned, this time looking more sinister with empty eyes and asked me once again to go out with him to which I pleaded I had a boyfriend. He came close to me and tried to kiss me and touch me this time and I eyed up a knife incase I had to threaten him. He left again and I remember packing up my stuff ready to accept that I had to stay in my house where the maintenance still wasn't sorted.
The next thing I know, all of my work friends came to visit and I felt a sense of warmth and safety. They were dressed up and brought gifts and warned that the handy man was bad news.

What's going on here?!

Well I believe that dreams link very often to things in your mind right now. You say that this dream had no relation to real life issues right now but that does not mean that the dream captured a key emotion or thought. You just have to make associations with real life. Try to make a connection. The dream may be about some recent thought - but equally it may have some other meaning. You just have to make associations with it. Ask questions like these

1. The man asked you out - were you flirting at all the previous day or thinking about how you could flirt?
2. The man was a handy man. Do you need anything doing in the house which would need someone who could turn their hand to anything?
3 The man returned and looked more sinister. Was there anyone who behaved in a sinister way the day before? What does the word sinister make you think of right at the time of the dream.
4. The dream involved work friends. Did you have some key feelings which involved work? Has anyone from work being praising you (which could link to the gifts symbolically).
5. Has anyone at work been trying to warn you about something or someone?
6. Gifts - have you given any gifts or received any? If yes then the dream maybe about a thought linked to that.
I have studied dreams and I am certain that huge buildings in dreams link to your personality as you interact with other people. Ordinary small buildings link to the personality and the self. Huge buildings can link to other people as we are influenced by them. Try looking at this page Big buildings in dreams . Dreams about huge buildings are symbolic of issues in the outside world which affect you and change your personality.

If you cannot make sense of the dream it may link to thoughts or events in the near future as you may be having a premonition of something about to happen.

Try especially think about thoughts connected with work. The dream may seem totally unrelated to real life yet often dreams about work or featuring people from work are about some key feeling about work. Dreams capture key feelings yet they seem bizarre.

Hello Whitemocha,

This message from  your  Soul / God says this: stay close to Yourself; try o make changes from inside.

You now, when your Soul cummunicates to you, s He 'speaks' suggestively using symbols to be short and sweet. ... So, leaving you with a strong feeling, a  knowledge that the dream means something. Hence your publication, loking for a solution.

The message here is this: Stay close to Yourself, find the indoor solution.

if you have specific questions to make it clear, i will explain further pointing the used symbolism. But because i know that dreams don't stand by theirself, i think these dream is produced as a reaction at an incident in your life, and problably you had an other dream prior or there be more to come ...

These inner figures are a part of you and express some of your hidden characteristics. Although they seem sinister, they contain some energies that you can access. The man is charming. The woman figure is sassy and filled with energy. Figures that emerge from our shadows often seem sinister because we haven't gotten to know them yet. The home is your soul and it is bigger than you thought. Take some time to explore your inner space.

There is also union of the opposites. Man/Woman Fear/ a Comfortable Feeling Romancing/Deathly Anger. The union of the opposites within us leads to more wholeness.
