My dream involved the genre of metafiction.
In the dream, My fiction storyline involved becoming acquainted with one, or even two people (uncertain if this was, or was not one person) I had in recent months met. The storyline can be described as I, the author as a character asking my if friend(s) can featured in my fiction story. In no uncertain terms, they told me NO!
This storyline took on a light drama, light comedy nature. I don't remember how this storyline developed, yet, what I remember most is how real-life examples would play-out as very faux pax. I also remember how potential real-life examples added to the light drama side of the story. Important life, and authorial lessons here.
I'm not sure why I had this dream, but strong theories may be preferences toward stories carefully incorporating metafctional elements, comedy, and drama to maintain readership interest, and personally understanding why such story genres very rarely attract much readership interest.
