{continued} i saw at once this was something serious. the scientist spoke in a very earnest tone of voice the conversation was as follows SCIENTIST: as you have seen,this formula brings into manifestation abilities and powers which until now have been dormant. but the acquistion of this knowledge comes with great peril for never having thought that such powers were possible they tend to be inexpert in the use of them, at extremely high risk both to the people around them and themselves. this situation cannot remain as it is. THE DOCTOR: i agree fully, although the healing of some of my patients has been incredible SCIENTIST: when this serum was discovered,even i had no idea of the full extent of its capabilties. but it has to be given in the right dosage so the newfound powers do not get out of hand i knew exactly what he was talking about. one example was a man who received fantastic powers of vision through this. he saw a gang of criminals dragging a body into an abandoned warehouse 40 miles away and saw them so clearly he was able to give a description of all of them to the police,who arrived on the scene in 10 minutes and arrested the whole gang. but the vision increased with usage and soon he was able to see not only for long distances but also see radio waves,ultra-violet rays and frequency wavelengths with the naked eye. in short, both super telescopic vision and microscopic vision. the police officer had been pursuing 2 killers who had ducked into a building and were hiding in a storage room (it was an office building) when he ordered them to come out with their hands up. when they told him he would have to take them-they were armed- he drew his gun ,stood aside from the door and attempted to force open a locked metal door. quite unintentionally he ripped the metal door off its hinges. such was the superhuman strength this serum could give. but he did not realize the extent of the immense strength he now had. which was the reason for this meeting. this was way beyond anything our science had conceived of so far. we had to find out the properties of this serum and its qualties or we could have a very serious situation on our hands {continued}​

I believe that dreams are symbolic versions of our own thoughts. They are like little short stories which capture conceptual emotions. So maybe the dream captures thoughts connected with (quote) "expanding consciousness and acquiring potentially dangerous abilities". The dream is merely linked to how our minds store concepts. They use metaphors which may seem strange and totally unrelated to real life but they capture key concepts.

Have you been thinking along the following lines eliminating "traits such as, paranoia,greed,lust for power and homicidal mania". What does that make you think of. If you can make an association with that then you will know the dream is connected to that thought.

What do you think the serum represents in your own emotions and thoughts?

i agree that most of the time dreams do reflect our subconscious thoughts. very often,as you say these thoughts are stashed away in our unconscious and then ,so to speak filed away for future reference. in my own case much of my thoughts have been to save humanity from itself. so this serum would represent a rescue for mankind. but this comes with a caution. these powers can be misused and very badly, with consequences far greater than ordinary human powers. according ti the techmage in the dream that was originally how the previous civilizations were destroyed . through abuse of these abilities. of course such a claim can be neither proven nor dis proven. but he is not the only one to claim existence of ancient civilizations before recorded history. so i am not quite sure how to regard this dream. a premonition of things to come? communication from a higher level of reality? a warning of some sort? in any case i will await your reply​
