Feeling Betrayed After Defending My Sister

Last night, I had a dream that I was at an event with my sister. It seemed like a philosophy-style event where people sit together and discuss different subjects. This is actually a real event that my sister and I attend in real life.

In the dream, my sister was sitting next to me at a table with a few other people. One of the girls at the table, who was apparently my sister’s friend, told my sister to go get her some paper. The way she asked was not respectful. It felt rude and like she was talking down to my sister.

What upset me even more was that my sister got up and went to get the paper without questioning it. I did not like that at all. I felt protective of my sister and angry that someone would speak to her that way.

I told my sister, “This is the last time you do that.” Then I looked at the girl with a bit of attitude, because I wanted her to understand that the way she spoke to my sister was not okay. I tried to soften it by saying, “Oh, I’m just joking,” but deep down I was serious. I wanted her to know that I was upset and that I felt she had been disrespectful.

After that, it seemed like the girl got upset. I walked away after my sister for a moment, mostly to cool off. When I came back, most of the people from the table had left, apparently to go to the bathroom and possibly talk about what happened.

One person stayed behind with my sister, and she actually took the time to listen to our side. I explained that I felt it was not right for someone to ask my sister for something in that tone or to talk down to her. I said that I felt it was disrespectful.

Then, when the others came back, they all moved to a different table. What hurt me the most was that my sister went with them. After I had defended her, she still chose to leave with her friends, and they all left me sitting alone at the table.

I remember feeling very hurt and betrayed. It felt like I stood up for my sister, but she did not stand by me afterward. I could see that my sister seemed emotional, almost like she had tears in her eyes and felt guilty, but she still went with them and left me alone.

The strongest feeling in the dream was betrayal. I felt abandoned by my sister after trying to defend her.

That sounds like a really uncomfortable dream to wake up from! Do you often have dreams about betrayal? I have a friend who regularly has dreams like that. It's an expression of her fears.

This dream could be because you fear betrayal (by your sister or in general) or it could be that you do feel betrayed by your sister in something, maybe small, maybe big. or perhaps that you are protective of your sister and don't feel like she appreciates it. And the dream is working through the emotions connected to that.

Hello Eva, obviously this dream is related to your dream "Wrongly arrested", published 24 of june were I explaned that "your aunt", just represent AUNT JAMIMA due to the occurence' that "her rapper sons" were just kind of a determinative referring to / to make to make sure which aunt you were talking abaut, namely: The Big Symbol of black suffering and oppresion, at least beginning in the time of the minstrel shows till now in recent times of rapp songs.

Thus your sister, in this line would be your black sister, close to you or not, ... in genaral someone that you as an activist for justice and Child of God have defended or would defend against injustice: The repercussions are as described, and though you as a white person has prevelages, The Black Perso has/had to considder the consequenses If She Would Stay With You On The Table Were ALL the Wrongdoers Had Left You Behind:

This dream is HERE as you said "a philosophy-style event where We The People sit together and discuss different subjects. This is actually a real event that my sister and I attend in real life";

Imagine would be the consequence if she was a worker just as qualified as you or better in a company nowadays (considdering loosing her/his job as the only provider?

.. or in the Jim Crow era standing his/ her ground against a crimibal bully? Would he end up haging in a tree? ... etc etc.
