I dreamed I was a kid again

It's more likely related to your personal perceptions of you based on how you grew up and your relationships with your family. A house no matter what kind generally is linked to aspects of self. They fact it was related to your parents might be an indication of that connection and what your actively evaluating at the moment.
The next thing are the emotions you felt from the Dream related to those things.
They will help you get more of an idea

Then it seems that it could be that your finally feeling that break from your previous foundation of what built your stability or personality your core beliefs and perhaps you are not quite ready too do so or maybe your resentful of it all hense the tense?

Thanks. I am a little freer from my roots, this is true. However, with this freedom comes a responsibility to look after myself and rely less on others. Hence the tension.

It really puts you in a weird space trying to figure out if the past things we've learned still apply to us and our lives now. I wish you all the best and do hope to see more friendly faces in here in the future, don't be a stranger to the forum.

I dreamed I was a kid again, and my parents had a new, big, fancy house. Does this mean that I have not fully grown up yet?

Amusing (cheeky?) question, to which I respond that one is never "fully grown up" until their mind has stopped functioning (and mourn that day when it does!). If you want to speculate further about your dream, please give us more details--about your age-environment, about any activities or details of the house, about anything your parents did to/with you. Sometimes focusing on recalling one aspect of the dream can help lead you to remember another part (much like waking memory recall can work with triggers).

In any case, may your dreams be meaningful to you.

The dream might be telling you that you are more intelligent and wiser because of what you have gone through and you can use that growth to construct a future far better then your past life, either better financially, socially, or morally.
