Minnett's Wedding....Recurring Dream

In real life, my older sister, Minnett, died 18 months ago, unexpectedly. She was a vibrant, successful person who totally went downhill after her husband's death, including alcohol abuse and great bitterness. In the dreams, I am trying to get to Minnett's wedding. I am trying to find the right clothes to wear and at one point enter my mother's house where I find a red dress that doesn't quite cover me, but I decide it's the best I can do. The family is around, my family of origin. In one dream, I am setting tables and lighting candles for the wedding. My question is: What is the symbolism of Minnett's wedding?

In your dream, Minnett's wedding symbolizes a journey of reconciliation and healing.
  • The struggle to find the right clothes represents your efforts to deal with Minnett's passing and the unresolved emotions surrounding it.
  • Choosing the red dress, despite its imperfections, signifies acceptance of the imperfect process of grief, embracing it as best as you can.
  • Lighting candles and setting tables are hopeful actions, indicating preparation for a celebration of her life and legacy rather than mourning her loss alone.
This dream suggests that you are moving towards celebrating her life and the vibrant memories she left behind, fostering a deeper connection with your family in the process.
