Mowing the lawn

Recently I've had a recurring dream I'm looking at our lawn, and it needs cutting badly. It looks healthy, very dark green with no weeds or anything wrong with it. It's so much to cut I use a riding mower. For some reason I can't cut it, either don't have the time, or something else. But I want to cut it. I should point out that I don't mind cutting it, IOW it's not really a chore to me, because it's nice being outside with the fresh air and cutting it. It's just for some reason I can't do it. Then I wake up.

So this is an interesting dream and I will offer a guess and it’s just a guess:

It seems to me that you might feel threatened or upset at another person’s prospects or boldness, and you want to make this person more humble or less influential, either for valid reasons, or not, but the dream is saying, you will not be given the power, the ability, or the social tools you need to remove this adversary figure, idea, or thing.

The opposite possible meaning, could be, that others want to diminish, humble, or block your progress, as opposed to you wanting to do this to others, but they cannot, maybe because the information they have been given is not the full truth or scope of the matter.
