My adult daughter gets left behind...

I am on a train with my wife. The train is stopping at a station, and I'm aware that our adult daughter is about to join us when the train stops. I get up to assist her up - there is no 'platform', it seems. But the train doesn't stop, it slows to a crawl, I'm confused and think it's about to stop further up, but it keeps going before I have a chance to grab my daughter's arm and hoist her up. We are up the front of the train, I can see the driver, but I cannot get his attention to stop the train. It keeps on going. I look behind, and my daughter is still running along beside the train, trying to 'catch' it. The track she's running on stops and crosses a ditch or a creek. She stumbles into the creek, soaking her feet and legs. I still can't get the train driver's attention to stop the train.

Any thoughts? My relationship with my daughter has always been good, and as far as I know, she is travelling reasonably well in life.

The first thought that comes to mind is that you and your wife are senior citizens who little by little are losing control over your way of live. If that is the case respond and I will explain

Thank you.
Now that I've thought about it some more, the meaning seems more obvious to me. Only yesterday, my wife and I were talking about the inevitability of death, and that we needed to talk to our daughter some more about our wishes. Not too seriously, it's part of life, after all, and we are not facing any difficulty or illness at present.

I think the dream was merely processing this, and saying: Where I'm going (eventually) my daughter cannot come with me. I will not be able to help her any more. And, the gradual march to death cannot be stopped.

Its caused us endless problems.
Just make sure wills, and trusts, and housing issues are managed.

I feel for you, Lex, having lost both parents a long time ago.
My dream showed my desire to look after my daughter, even showed the emotional weight she will wade through.
I'm sure your father feels the same way about you.

I wish he had been more considerate while he was still well enough to do so, Your daughter will appreciate being able to grieve properly. Its a kindness many don't always leave the ones they love.

I have promised to explain, but you as the dreamer couldn't do it better the way you you have done. little did I know that you had the discussion about your live recently. You as the dream felt, knew immediately that it was true, ... from inside, from the intuition your Soul, the ultimate composer of your dreams, communicated with you. If I would have to explain it would take a lot of time and energy. But it was just not simply an intuition from my side, the way I presented the idea above. In a way your dream is just a simply peaceful / not too disturbing dream. Genarally when I read about the dreamer inside a public vehicle controlled by someone else, it indicates possession by (evel) spirits. Because based on my standard used model, the dreamer should be at the wheel and his partner, representing his Soul, as a co-pilot (in case of a car). His child then simbolizes his mind-spirit (with which we now communicate). Because it is primarily about the dreamer in the leading role according to The Model, the dreamer, the ego describing his dream lives in his house (his body) that he shares with his 'marriage' partner for life from conception on, his Soul (represented by his wife). And in this model, his child, representing his spirit ( fruit of the union between the two and the contactpoint in the mind) in that household. ... When the Theme of the dream is about a trip, a road, this house turns into a mobile house, that is to say a (motor) bicycle, a car, train etc ... as in this case. Here is the theme The Sequel, the last trajectory of the life path.

In nine out of ten dreams, the presence of the partner and a child will have no further meaning than simply symbolizing / representing the Soul and the spirit, but in this dream they indeed Also represent the family members, the family together.

And... as a result of The Double Function, now that the theme is also known and acknowledged by you, the dreamer, all infinitely additional thoughts and feelings about the future that have arisen and discussed or to be discussed between you, your wife and your daughter, can be seen expressed in the dream
