And I like how the media is all ''blame it on x, y, z'' as if they didn't contribute to the rise of populism. If news agency actually delivered factual news in a neutral way without dictating their viewers how they should think and feel about it because of their agenda/propaganda then ''fake alternative news'' wouldn't be a thing. If the 'mainstream'' way of governance was actually effective and not corrupt then people wouldn't distrust the government. If public education was more well funded and organized, people wouldn't flock to believe in conspiracy theories. You see, it takes two to tango and populism didn't happen overnight. Remember when populism first came up in modern history? Yeah, Hitler was one of them and that was the introduction of a series of unfortunate events and violent changes. Seems like we're going down that path.
