Request for interpretation

I am recently experiencing an awakening of Shamanic tendencies, and correlating to this, had a dream about a hummingbird coming into my home, landing next to the kitchen sink. It was as tiny as a pea, but when I examined it from close it looked red and gold and appeared more like a phoenix bird. I know its something positive and I read aabout the symblism of both hummingbird and phoenix online. Still if anyone could offer a more specific interp, Id appreciate it.

Your dream featuring a hummingbird transforming into a phoenix in your home, particularly near the kitchen sink, is indeed a fascinating and symbolic one. In interpreting this dream, we will explore the symbolism of both the hummingbird and the phoenix, as well as the significance of the setting within your home.

Brief General Conclusion:

This dream suggests a powerful personal transformation and renewal, symbolized by the transition from a hummingbird to a phoenix. The presence of these creatures in your home, especially near a place of cleansing and nourishment (the kitchen sink), indicates a deep internal process impacting your everyday life.

Breakdown of Symbolism:

  1. Hummingbird: Hummingbirds are often seen as symbols of joy, agility, energy, and the sweetness of life. They are also seen as messengers, signifying the importance of enjoying life’s simple pleasures. The tiny size of the hummingbird in your dream could represent small joys or messages that you should be attentive to in your daily life.
  2. Phoenix: The transformation of the hummingbird into a phoenix signifies rebirth, transformation, and enduring through challenges. The phoenix is a powerful symbol of rebirth from the ashes, indicating overcoming adversity and emerging stronger. Its red and gold colors symbolize passion, energy, and a sense of rejuvenation or renewal.
  3. Kitchen Sink: The location near the kitchen sink is significant. Kitchens are traditionally associated with nourishment and sustenance, while sinks represent cleansing and purification. This setting could suggest the dream is pointing towards nourishment and cleansing of your spirit or life.
  4. Shamanic Awakening: Given your awakening of Shamanic tendencies, this dream could be a reflection of your spiritual journey. The hummingbird and phoenix both hold significant spiritual meanings, and their appearance in your dream might be guiding you towards your path of spiritual transformation and healing.
  5. Personal Growth and Transformation: The dream may be encouraging you to embrace change and renewal. It might be signaling a phase in your life where you are, or will be, undergoing significant personal growth, transformation, and possibly healing.
This dream seems to be a vivid reflection of your inner transformation, growth, and the journey you are undertaking. It's a beautiful and powerful symbol of the potential for rebirth and joy in your life, especially in the context of your shamanic awakening.

I would like to add, only on the "hummingbird's" position, next to the sink in your awareness, it is like it points to you, that through investing your daily energy into purification and also work on the channel the water shall take after, will establish the higher contact as me "the hummingbird" shows you is within reach. simple kitchen work, done with the awareness of higher purpose will do for you.

This is definitely a spiritual dream from your subconscious higher self guiding you, how similar I had the same experience with the humming bird but a light house, I also experienced the phoenix at the end of my shadow work where I transformed into this phoenix, it was very powerful and emotional, I’m sure your on your way to this transformation, keep going inwards and bring out what you find. It is a beautiful experience.

Thanks for sharing the link, Faby, but I prefer "human" interpretations :) Since the person who had the dream was going through a "shamanic awakening," it seems like the dream was a sign of their spiritual journey. I actually had a similar dream a while back, just after applying for a new job. For me, the birds were a good omen that things would work out (and they did!). It seems like dreams with birds in them usually mean good news is coming. I think the dreams might also connect to whatever is going on in your life when you fall asleep. But birds definitely represent positivity or something new/fresh.

I would keep a dream journal, I had a major synchronicity during my awakening, I recalled 4 previous dreams and items I drew 4 years ago which were happening in my awakening, I dug my old diary out and was shocked, I had dreamed of going through this, I do believe the subconscious higher self is sending us signs and we just need to tap into it and allow it to teach us.

Hello Selin, the humingbird is the bird who, like a honeybee, flies from flower to flower, inserting her tongue to drink (i think) the sweetness of them. But for a dreamexplainer the way the ego in the dream expres his/herself is very crucial.

You said "flying in front of me/my"; a freudian slip: as if trying to say at the same time my bird, belonging to me

Birds represent spiritual beings, angels, The Soul/God.
Flying In front of you thus guiding you!

And you said "to land on my right shoulder". That means s(he is/was kind kind of 'your right hand': thus your great help(er).

. .... But, "when I took a close look at it, it looked more like a phoenix."

The phoenix bird symbolizes immortality, resurrection and life after death

Alltogether in I conclude that indeed this bird(s) represent
1. your individual Soul,
2. God,
3. your godly spirit, better known as the howly spirit
at the same time.

... etc etc: go and look there!

In the dream of Selin the emphasis is 'you rised up from death, your right hand (your living spirit) came back 'home' (the body).

Now, as to your dream: here the emphasis is in the body (the kitchen, the place where the dayly bread is prepared).

Based on the fact that the bird is inside, how tiny as it is, it is a 'living fenix! I think should have said:

"I am recently experiencing an awakening  from Shamanic tendencies"

So, because of his fragile state he need to grow stronger feeding hisself, ... you feeding yourself with The Daily Bread of your Soul, The Real Man in you.

that is the message here!
