Shark Week

This dream takes place at an unknown beach at night. I am with an unknown woman, and cannot describe any features other than She is wearing a two piece bathing suite. The shoreline going into the water is steep. I hesitate while the woman jumps right in, she beckons me to follow her in. Something feels wrong. I see small sharks in the water maybe 5 feet long or so, I yell to her to get out, there are sharks. She just laughs and continues to play in the water while sharks swim and jump out of the water all around her. She finally gets a out of the ocean, I get a sense of disappointment from her as we continue walking down the shoreline as of nothing ever happened...

Seems you worry about things no one else appears to even be concerned about.

The feelings of being dismissed and ignored in extreme situations are all over this dream

I wonder what part of you choices to ignore your verison of perceived threats.

Maybe, I'm not sure what those would be though. I get a sense that that woman or aspect wants me to blindly leap in despite the danger, like she did. Like a leap of faith?

There is a beautiful little book from Emma Jung called animus and anima
You dont need to be a Jungian to understand that...
Jung once said in every one of us is the contrasexual aspect...the inner feminine in a man and vice vesa the animus in a woman...
The closeness to the ocean ( the unconcious) in your dream lets me think about your anima...
