Stones on the night shore

I wake to feel the stones or pebbles on the side of a small river touching my face i am laying next to the water in the clearing, the woods beyond. The cool night air, the almost full moon high in the sky illuminating the night.
I blink and rise, pushing with my arms they are feeling a little heavy and awkward like a new born deers when they try to stand for the first time.
The stones crunch and click as I move up I hear them clearly but ignore their shifting.
The waters sound irritates me, but I walk next to the stream looking for signs of life, of light...heat.
I walk into the woods and come the shadows pulling and hurting, but I'm numb from the time in the water...
In the distance I see it... fire it flickers and dances
The twins lions lingering in front of it. Warming themselves. I want to be as warm and alive as I recall them next to the fire they glance and see me the shadows clinging to me and cut me with their claws as they chase them away...but I don't mind... I feel warm again... the numb being eaten away slowly...so slowly... but I feel it . The embers of anger ...the passion of change. And soon I'm kneeling before the fire bleeding... crying in rage... waiting to burn down the whole damned forest.
I look into the blue eyes of the twin lions As the rest waiting for me to stop bleeding, I wake up.

I would think this dream links to a strong emotion from the day before. Try reading this page ANGER IN DREAMS as it features the meaning of real dreams where you feel anger. At the start of the page there are quotations each of which captures the real meaning of a dream with anger in it.

It wasn't helpful at all, and a bit disjointed. 😕 I prefer personal interpretations of dreams rather then clinical ones. They can tell you a lot about yourself and the people that read them

There are so many archetypical elements in this dream. I am in awe. I really think you could spend a lifetime working this dream. The water and the moon: rebirth and the feminine. You walk into your shadows (those parts of you hidden in the psyche) and they hurt. (It always hurts to confront our shadows). Then the fire! Mercy! How many strong elements in one dream! Fire of spirit, fire of God. And not one, but twin lions? Amazing. The masculine principle, power. I am going to do a search on twin lions and see if I find any old religions that had this symbol. If we think about Narnia, this is an image of Christ. Even though you are bleeding and in rage, you are very much alive and feeling your creative center. The animals tell you the bleeding will stop. Healing and transformation are on the way.

Been a while since I had someone read my dream so personally, I agree, I'm going through a lot, and my psyche seems to finally be coming round. The lions I'm not sure about but the fire I have some ideas.
